Keep Me Cool

Here in the UK the weather has been lovely and warm.

I decided to make myself a cool loose cotton top but couldn’t stop at one!

This was the first that I made with a Rowan fabric designed by Kaffe Fassett. I just used purchased bias binding to hem the neck and armholes. I had to put some darts at the back of the neck because I had adapted the pattern from a dress pattern and made this top a wee bit too wide!

This is the second that I made (slightly narrower so no need for any darts!) I decided to make my own bias binding for this one.

I bought the fabric from a quilting shop in the market town that my sister lives in (I stayed with her last week)

The third (yes 3!) one is made from fabric that I could not resist when I saw it at the market that I traded at last weekend!

I decided not only to make my own bias binding for this one but to also add a bit of decoration at the front.

The buttons I already had in my cupboard for part of my “yarny” creations.

Here’s hoping that I get the weather to wear them now😄
